Making Money With Meetup.com

Marko over at Gnosticdesigns wrote an interesting article about how he gamed meetup.com to make a few bucks. This caught my eye because not only could you make a few bucks with MeetUp, I’m sure you could probably make $100 a day or more.
Marko explains you first make your account and find niches that relate to your marketing efforts. You then create a new “MeetUp“, which is essentially a local forum. MeetUp then takes your niche and automatically notifies everyone who is interested in the same subject that you are having a MeetUp. Marko took the initiative to add a few affiliate links in his invitation as well.
He also explains that it’s important to set a physical location and time so people think you’re serious.
Once your invitations are sent, people will be drawn to your MeetUp profile, which can essentially be a landing page for your affiliate offers.
Anyway, I think this is another great out-of-the-box type use to make a few bucks with social media outside of MySpace and Facebook, so check it out and let me know if it works for you.
Take a look at his post here: How To Game Meetup.com and Make Money
